Mary-Jane paints in a variety of media, depending on the subject matter. Her figurative work, mainly of dancers, is executed in pen, ink and wash; this allows her to work quickly from moving subjects. Mary-Jane also paints nudes and semi-nudes in oil on canvas, and in mixed media. Again her work is always bold and colourful.
