About this artist
Mary-Jane paints in a variety of media, depending on the subject matter. Her landscapes are painted in oil on box canvas; she continues the painting around the edge of the canvas, giving a 3-dimensional effect. Lately she has produced pictures framed, either in quite simple painted frames or more traditional mouldings, individually hand-painted to enhance the subject. The painting is bold, colourful and textured.
